Rankin Co. authorities release sketch of auto burglary suspect

The Rankin County Sheriff's Department has received nearly 20 reports of auto burglaries over the past ten days. The majority of the owners victimized live in or around the Avalon and Farmington Station subdivisions.
Rankin Co. man arrested for hunting gators illegally

State wildlife agents accompanied by an investigator from the Rankin County District Attorney's Office raided a home in the Regatta Subdivision in Rankin County Wednesday night. A man who lives at 165 Regatta Drive was arrested and charged with illegally harvesting wildlife.

Attorney General Jim Hood says 49-year-old Mark Bushnell, of Alexandria, La., pleaded guilty Monday in Rankin County Circuit Court.
